2012 Tequesta Ten Commandment Hike

The Ten Commandments Hike stops in ten different churches where the clergy person gives instruction about one of the Commandments. The hike is less than 8 miles.

2012 Lighthouse District Pinewood Derby

2012 Lighthouse-Pine Island Scoutmaster Training

2012 Lighthouse District Ten Commandment Hike

Saturday, March 10th

The 10 Commandment Hike covers approximately seven miles around Coral Springs.  Hikers stop at various houses of worship where each of the Ten Commandments is discussed.

Sol Leiman Merit Badge College

Weekend of March 23rd to the 25th

Earn merit badges and complete early rank requirements for Boy Scouts at the 20th annual Merit Badge College at Barbara Goleman High School. Adult training courses are also available.  Register early, as classes fill up fast!

Wood Badge is, further, Scouting's premier training course. Baden-Powell designed it so that Scouters could learn, in as practical a way possible, the skills and methods of Scouting. It is first and foremost, learning by doing.

Order of the Arrow

The Order of the Arrow is Scouting's National Honor Society.

Its purpose is fourfold:

1-To recognize those Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.

2-To develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit.

3-To promote Scout camping.

4-To crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose ofleadership in cheerful service to others.
